7. Gender bias in healthcare

Dr Magdalena Zawisza-Riley, Associate Professor of Consumer and Gender Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University. She examines how gender impacts experiences and use of healthcare, and the psychology of gender stereotyping in health including implicit bias, ‘toxic’ masculinity and ways to research these. She also shares new revealing findings from her global research collaboration across 62 countries on sexism and its health and lifespan implications.

Discusses strategies for change and why gender equality in healthcare matters, and explores what it means for CPFT and the NHS.
