Overview:

President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Dr Adrian James will highlight that the pandemic has presented some unique challenges to the mental health sector. We’ve seen record levels of referrals to services in a time when the NHS has been under immense strain. In this session, Dr James will cover how the College is helping to support the workforce and why, despite the challenges, now has never been a better time to be involved in mental health care. He also touches on the progress of his four presidential priorities; parity of esteem, workforce wellbeing, championing diversity and ensuring sustainability is at the heart of all we do.
